Sound Unsound Recommends #6 – Hype on Hype

You know you want an afro like this!Back in 1969 when everyone wanted a Jackson 5 afro (and secretly we all still want one!), an absolute classic was born “I want you back”. It stormed the charts peaking at No. 1 and is known by everyone young, old and older :) . It ranked number 120 in Rolling Stones list of 500 greatest songs of all time in 2006 and Pitchfork Medias second best song of the 60’s.

Hype On Hype has revived “I want you back” 40 years after it’s original release with their remix ‘I Want You Back’ (Dirty Dub Drop).By adding some massive bassline, they have produced what can only be described as a masterpiece! This is easily one of the best Jackson 5 remixes, we have heard in a very long time! Check it out below:
