I have said this on another forum and I will say it here:

So the 1st comment stating "Not as good as Ramdom Thoughts" has appeared on my show page this morning by someone called mark apparently. This "mark" is so big and clever he didnt even use a real email address. Anyway here is my response to all who feel like comparing my podcast to that of his.

Also let me just state this, I have never EVER wanted my podcast to be compared to that of anyone else's. I also think that its great that there is 2 podcasts on the same subject and yet are so different.

I wondered how long this would take to start, here are some facts for you.

• RamdomThoughts is the most downloaded currently as its been going a lot longer.
• RamdomThoughts WILL NEVER be played on the radio and by this I mean an actual station and not some “forum station”, whereas RadioTron was and could be a radio show again whenever I DECIDE.
• RadioTron Podcast does not and will never sell fridge magnets - I mean come on ffs!!
• RadioTron Podcast is more relaxed than RamdomThoughts.
• The sound quality as far as the mic is concerned sounds slightly better on RamdomThoughts but this is because I use a top professional mic that is too powerful for a desktop PC as its meant to be for studio use. Check yourself, this is what I use: [Only registered and activated users can remove adverts and see links. ] you can buy it now for about £79 as its discontinued but I have had it alot longer than RamdomThoughts has been on iTunes, The host of RamdomThoughts realises that the RadioTron Podcast will eventually be alot more successful than his and seeing this as a threat will probably send more people like you, unless you are him of course as you used a fake email address….LOL!
• I will never ask someone else to host a show for me as the whole purpose of being a host is to actually, well, host!
• My show is not just about how many exclusives I can play but its about playing different types of mashups.
• I know that some people out there don’t release FANTASTIC mashups ALL the time, but out of respect I play them anyway as even though I may not like that track, someone else might.
• Also RamdomThoughts used to be a podcat that played mashups/remixes and a podsafe track…did you know that? Well anyway, a year or so ago I released the 1st ever attempt at RadioTron Podcast and played solely mashups and started to end the show with a mix, then guess what?
• RamdomThoughts started to do the same. Yet apparently RadioTron is a “rip-off”
• Unlike RamdomThoughts, The RadioTron is hosted on an actual website and is NOT a subdomain.

Its not that they bother me, its just that I think people should really appreciate the fact there is 2 podcasts on the same subject yet they are completely different.

Before I start, I am not making this comment just because Scott is a Super Mod here. If I thought any member of SUS was being unfairly treated, I would more than happily fight their corner.

I wasn't going to reply to this, but I have decided to as I remember a while ago you jumping the gun accusing budtheweiser of claiming mashups he made were not actually created by him and started publicly slaughtering him until it was shown to you that the guy you were sticking up for was actually a lying idiot.

Ha ha! You make it sound like your the next Chris Moyles. You were on a voluntary run community station from what I remember you telling me. The coverage Scott gets (around 60,000 to 70,000 downloads a month). Stamping over any coverage you were getting. Maybe you should of thought about that before using that as a bullet point.

You really have no idea do you? Do a search and look who set you up podcasting? Who was the person who helped you with RSS feeds, getting into iTunes etc. etc. All the time you have your head in the clouds and this chip on your shoulder, your podcast will never thrive and be successful.

This happens a lot in commercial radio and in numerous other Podcasts. If you go quiet for a while, people start to forget you and adding a guest in every so often not only keeps listeners with new material, but it keeps the show interesting as you are getting your listeners / featured users involved. This once again proves you have absolutely no idea what your talking about.

Ramdom Thoughts actually changed format a while ago. Shows you didn't do much investigating into this claim.

If someone is making comments that your show is a rip off, wouldn't it been more of an adult move to prove that your actually not a rip off, instead of throwing a net wide hissy fit. You've just made yourself look like a massive jerk.

You have no idea, really you have no idea. Your domain is technically a subdomain of your hosts domain, you just don't see the hosts domain. What Scott has done is actually a very smart move. The amount of traffic each month his site gets would cost a packet in Bandwidth charges and I very much doubt it would be able to cope on run of the mill shared hosting like you run nutronic.net on (I checked your name servers for confirmation). He would need at least a Virtual Private Server to run the blog alone, as the amount of queries that he would generate would keep timing out and exceeding his hourly database connections on shared hosting. By using a WordPress.com blog, he is putting the cost onto WordPress.com as they have world class servers that none of us on the forums could afford to pay for, so he is getting world class hosting for free.

Maybe in future, you should put your brain into gear before you talk out of your arse.

Every now and again I get mailshots through my letterbox from the Labour Party, Conservatives and the Lib Dems. All of them consist of pages slagging off the other yet provide very little information of what they have actually done themselves. I choose to not vote for any of them because of that reason. When one of them comes along and just promotes themselves and doesn't feel the need to slag of the other then I might pop a ballot paper in. I'm sorry to say that I shan't be voting for Nutronic any time soon.
